Telangana state power firm tenders 20 MW rooftop solar power systems in India

Telangana State Power Generation Corporation has issued three tenders for solar PV projects with a combined capacity of 20 MW.

Details of the Telangana solar tenders:

  • The first tender is for a 8 MW plant at Kathagudem Thermal Power Station, at Paloncha, in Khamma district. The value of the contract is roughly around Rs 41 crores (US$6.38 million). Moreover, the contract period is of nine months from the date of the award. The bid submissions for this tender ends on July 20th.
  • The second tender is for a 7 MW plant at the Pulichinthala Hydro Electric Station in Vazinepally Village, Mallacheru. The contract’s value is roughly around Rs 35.9 crores (US$5.58 million). The deadline for bid submissions is July 21st.
  • Lastly, the third tender is for seven small to medium separate projects ranging from 200 kW to 1,200 kW capacity. The total power capacity of these projects after completion would be 5 MW. The estimated value of the contract is Rs 25.65 crores (US$3.99 million) with deadline for bid submissions on 24 July.

All these tenders include design, manufacture, testing at manufacturers’ workshops, third-party inspection, supply, storage at site and maintenance of the plants for one year, excluding associated civil works on EPC basis at specified location. Telangana currently has around 1.1 GW of installed solar power capacity. The state has currently installed solar power generation plant with capacity of 1,070 MW and expects to achieve 3 GW by the year end.
